Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labours for their conversion. This sacrament, also known as confession, is available for parishoners every Saturday evening after the vigil mass and on request.

First confession, for pupils of primary four, is organised by St. Joseph's Primary School in partnership with the church. All preparation is done during class time for those ready to receive the sacrament.
